Climate

Climate is a combination of Ambient Temperature, Rainfall and Biome which determines the spawning of Animals, and the generation of Trees upon chunk creation. Note: Temperatures and rainfall vary throughout the year, so the time of year at which new chunks are generated may have a factor in which type of climate is used for initial calculations.
Currently there is no way to determine exactly which climate you are in other than referencing the temperature and rainfall values on the debug screen (Default: F3).
